Prepared for Jamon Sellman

Sellman Insurance Group Digital Partnership

A new website, a working chatbot, and a partner you can actually reach. Built for a three-generation Champaign County agency that already does the hard part right.

Keep the soul of Sellman. Replace the platform underneath it.

The current site is not a disaster. It has the team photo, the video, the 1947 family story, the carrier line-up and the quote paths. The problem is that the best parts are buried, and the site does not match the trust people already feel in person.

Keep

What already works

The team, the local history, the carrier wall, Nationwide Express, Safeco Now and the multi-carrier quote path.

Fix

What is holding it back

Weebly limits, generic copy, no local landing-page structure, weak review visibility and old listings with inconsistent business details.

Build

What comes next

A fast 18+ page website, a real assistant chatbot, local search cleanup and a simple retainer with one person to call.

The business has more trust than the website currently captures.

Sellman already has the foundation. The current site is not using it.

  • Built on Weebly, which limits schema, page speed and design control.
  • Service pages use generic insurance-explainer copy instead of Sellman’s voice.
  • Sellman is already competitive locally, but the site does not have the page structure to fully capitalize on it.
  • 64 Google reviews are useful proof, but they are not surfaced strongly enough on the site.
  • Some directory listings still show outdated names or address information, which can confuse local search and AI results.
Sellman homepage preview

Working preview direction, kept clean and local instead of generic agency-template.

Three visible moves in the first two weeks.

01. Modern site direction

Team photo and video pulled forward, 1947 legacy made obvious, mobile quote paths treated like primary actions.

02. Chatbot flow mapped

Dec page requests, RV/new-vehicle quotes, claims, quote requests and after-hours capture routed to the right place.

03. Local trust cleanup starts

Review campaign and citation cleanup can run while the site is being finalized, so momentum does not wait for launch day.

An 18+ page site, built to rank and convert.

This is not a five-page brochure with a nicer font. Each page has a job: rank, answer, prove trust or route a quote.

The ranking work should not be hidden in a footnote.

  • Custom copy in Sellman’s voice, not template insurance prose.
  • FAQ blocks with schema so Google and AI search can read the answers.
  • LocalBusiness, InsuranceAgency, FAQ and breadcrumb schema.
  • Mobile-first build with fast load targets and accessible design.
  • 301 redirects from old Weebly URLs so existing search value is protected.
  • Analytics, Search Console and Clarity so Jamon can see what is working.

An executive assistant on the website, not a gimmick.

Someone needs their dec page. Someone just bought an RV. Someone is asking about a claim. Three different conversations, three different routes.

Dec page request

Collect the customer details and route it to the service inbox.

New vehicle, RV, boat or motorcycle

Capture the intake details and route the quote request to personal lines.

Claim help

Show carrier-specific claim links plus the option to call Sellman directly.

After-hours capture

Set expectations, collect info and queue the callback for the next business day.

Fix the signals around the website.

  • 350+ directory citation cleanup for name, address, phone and website consistency.
  • Review campaign setup with QR card, email/SMS templates and a tracker.
  • Google Business Profile polish and optional monthly posting.
  • Local resource articles that answer real Champaign County insurance questions.

The NAP target

Sellman Insurance Group
38 Monument Square
Urbana, OH 43078
(937) 653-1360

This exact identity should match across the site, schema, maps, directories and carrier profiles wherever possible.

$70/month gives Jamon one person to call.

This replaces the absentee hosting line with simple upkeep: hosting, backups, security checks, form monitoring and small site updates.

Staff swaps, photo refreshes, carrier additions and seasonal updates should not sit for years. The base retainer keeps those small changes moving without turning this into a big agency contract.

Two-week first launch, cleanup running in parallel.

Days 1-2

Team details, hours, carrier list, service areas, compliance boundaries and final pricing.

Days 3-7

Days 8-10

Wire the backend pieces

Forms, analytics, schema, redirects and chatbot routing.

Days 11-14

$400

Google Business Profile posting

$150/mo

Monthly resource article

$200/mo

Social media content calendar

Light monthly calendar and post creation.

$350/mo

Built carefully for an insurance agency.

Jamon approves sensitive copy

Coverage wording, chatbot answers and review campaign language should be reviewed before launch.

No binding advice from the bot

The assistant routes requests and answers general questions from approved content. It does not promise coverage or quotes.

No ranking guarantees

The build improves the foundation. Rankings still depend on competition, reviews, content and ongoing signals.

Sellman owns the assets

Domain, site files, content and hosting stay under Sellman’s control.

My recommendation: the $6,000 stack.

Website, chatbot, citation cleanup and review campaign setup, with ongoing maintenance and chatbot support at $89/month.
